Summer is basically over, which means there is absolutely no reason to stay in shape or get in shape, am I right? Well, possibly. However, we shouldn’t have only one reason to hit the gym (even if looking good is clearly the most important one). Working out is also great for your health. Who would’ve thunk? So as fall and winter approach, let’s become motivated to get in shape!
Here are my top 3 reasons to work out:
1. You won’t shoot your husband.
Do you ever wonder why you’re in such a better mood leaving the gym than when you were going in? A lot of it probably has to do with the fact that you’re finally finished with your brutal work out, but it’s also because of your endorphins. The “runner’s high” comes from your endorphins, which leads you to become generally happier. So keep your husband safe and your energy up!
2. You won’t be depressed while you shop.
It’s that time of the year when you hit up the mall and try on new jeans, which I just did today. I also left every store knowing that my jean size is not the same as it used to be, even though I’m the same height as I have always been. Isn’t that weird–how in the world does my jean size go up every single year when I stopped growing five years ago? But whatever. I’m getting cheese fries…and then going to the gym.
3. You can sing along with LMFAO (and be honest at the same time).
Remember when “Sexy and I Know It” would always play and everyone would sing along? My favorite part was seeing everyone sing “I work out” and flex like a complete tool. Seriously, it’s the best. But I always knew most of them were lying because there was no definition in their arms. Obviously I was not impressed. So how about we get to the gym and put on LMFAO, sing along and become the most honest, in shape human beings to ever wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, yeah!
